Windows codename Chicago Build 58s Screenshots

Chicago Build 58s was the first Chicago build leaked to beta testers. Released in August 1993, Chicago Build 58s was very primitive. It

included an early first stab at Windows 95 Setup, and included Microsoft's Cairo shell. The taskbar did not have one, but three

buttons, and included a place to store links. Unlike Chicago Build 34, windows did not minimize to the taskbar, but above. Chicago

did not include most of the final Windows 95 applets, and Microsoft had yet to release WritePad (Later renamed WordPad) and

WinPad. These early Chicago Builds are also compatible with few, if any, applications designed for Windows 95.
