Chicago dell'Arte

A Commedia Christmas Carol-With influences ranging from "Waiting for Guffman" to  'Scrooged", our adaptation of this classic found the inhabitants of San Irreal attempting to mount their own stage production of the Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol."  How many versions of the story have you seen that begin with a terrible dance number, and end with a Jewish wedding?

Murder, Murder Murder!- "Murder, Murder, Murder!"  is the inaugural show by the newly formed Chicago dell'Arte, and the debut of the even newly-er (that's not a word is it?) formed troupe Le Corone Rosse.  Full of death threats, shady deals, murder (duh),  and more Beatles references than Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe" (not really, that movie was saturated with them, we only had 3 or 4).

The story is set on the isthmus of San Irreal and is an hour long romp through the lives of 6 of the inhabitants of this village of fools.

Declared  "Unmissable" by the Chicago Sun Time, and "A Must See" By Chicago Centerstages.

The Light of Love- This is the first unofficial show for Le Corone Rosse.  This show was produced by the Promethean Theatre Ensemble and debuted on October 20th, 2007.  It was from this show that both Chicago dell'Arte and Le Corone Rosse were born...was born? are born?  Jason Bourne?
