2012 PARK CONCESSIONS

If you are interested in an opportunity to operate a food, retail, recreational or rental location within the Park District the application deadline is Friday, October 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. The Chicago Park District has concession opportunities available for the 2012 season. The application and list of open sites are available online at: http://parkconcessions.com/info.html

Treasurer Stephanie Neely Kicks Off Bank On Chicago

Treasurer Stephanie Neely has kicked off a banking initiative called Bank On Chicago. It promises to be a game-changer for wage-earners who spend  too much money at check cashers and currency exchanges. Rudy Nimocks Receives 2011 Luminary Award from Former Mayor Richard Daley

On May 7, 2011, 20th Ward community leader Rudy Nimocks, Director of Community Partnerships for the University of Chicago, received from former Mayor Richard M. Daley a special Luminary Award at the 2011 Chicago Senior Citizens Hall of Fame Luncheon at the Sheraton Chicago. 
 
Throughout his distinguished career in law enforcement and community service, Nimocks has played a leadership role in organizations that have greatly benefited 20th Ward community members, including the South Side YMCA, the Woodlawn Preservation & Investment Corporation (WPIC), and the Woodlawn Children's Promise Community (WCPC).  He resides in Woodlawn with his wife Joyce, who was on hand for the award presentation along with Alderman Willie B. Cochran.
