Chiang Mai Charity Calendar
Official Launch - 5th October 2007
Chiang Mai Charity Calendar Launch Honoured by the Presence of
H.E. Dr. Suvit Yodmani, Minister of Tourism and Sports
Our Calendar Launch on 5th October 2007 at the Sofitel Riverside Hotel was attended by members of the travel trade, airlines, media, city officials, Consulates, school students and parents. Following cocktails and registration, guests assembled in the hotel's elegant Mesa conference room where Mr. Craig Rodgers, Senior School Principal of Prem Tinsulaonda International School gave a welcome address, followed by a Power Point Presentation by Mrs. Ramlah M. Jafri, explaining "How the Chiang Mai Charity Calendar Happened"
The highlight of the evening was His Excellency Dr Suvit's talk on "Chiang Mai's Tourism Industry in 2008 and Beyond" which brought some spirited questions from the floor. The young artists whose paintings are featured in the calendar received certificates of appreciation from Dr Suvit, and were later joined on the stage by proud parents. To bring a memorable occasion to a fitting conclusion, three talented Prem school students treated a hushed and appreciative audience to moving violin and classical guitar solo performances.
Our most sincere and very grateful thanks go to His Excellency Dr Suvit Yodmani, for making a special journey from Bangkok in support of our calendar!
