Chao-Kai Chiang  蔣 兆 凱

I am a postdoc working with Professor Fei Sha in the Theoretical and Empirical Data Science (TEDS) lab at USC, and Professor Ameet Talwalkar at UCLA. Our research directions are:

  • To advance the study of reinforcement learning and its various applications via deep reinforcement learning.
  • To develop theoretical explanations to several state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms in computer vision, language processing, and multi-task learning.
Prior to my current position, I spent two wonderful years working with Professor Peter Auer and Professor Ronald Ortner on reinforcement learning, bandit problems, and online learning.
