RALLY FOR THE PANTHERS 

By joining the PTSA and considering an additional donation to Pitch in for Panther$ One & Done fundraiser you can directly help the students & teachers at CHHS. This year’s PTSA budget of over $40,000 will be used towards sponsoring teacher grants, education programs for students & parents, special events, staff appreciation, campus beautification & improvements, just to name a few.

SKYWARD

There is a new feature in Family Access called Skyward School Directory.  This feature allows parents to share child/parent information with the School Directory in Skyward. Selections on this screen will apply to all children in this family regardless of what campus they attend.
 
To be a part of the Skyward School Directory, please follow these instructions:
  • Login to Skyward Family Access
  • Click on “My Account”
  • Under School Directory, check the box to add your family
  • Make your selections as to what information you want to display for your family
  • To view school directory, clink on School Directory link.

AMAZON SMILE

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, & convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. GO CENTER

Have you submitted your college applications yet?  The Go Center is available for appointments to assist you with your college process or answer any questions you might have.  We are available before and after school, during lunch and during your senior releases.  NOW is the time to start filling out your scholarship applications for college.  Don't wait until spring!  You can find a list of local scholarships HERE and a link for national scholarships at the bottom of that page.  

The University of Chicago will be here on September 19th during 5th period.  Come by the Go Center if you would liek to sign up to attend this meeting.  It will be at the discretion of your teacher to let you attend.  

If you have possible interest in attending TCC after high school in the Fall of 2019 please know that TCC College Access facilitates the entire TCC registration process and is done here on campus.  In order to participate and be included in this process you must complete THIS interest form.  Registration using this link will place you on the list we will use to invite you to attend 3 requirements to complete your college registration process.  By participating in College Access you are by  no means obligated to attend TCC and you can opt out of the program at any time.  For more details come by the Go Center.

CHHS AP BOOSTER CLUB

Registration is now open for the KD PSAT boot camp to be held on October 8th from 9AM to 2 PM at CHHS. The cost is $40 per child and lunch is included.  To register for the boot camp visit www.chhsapboosters.com

While on the site, Don't forget to sign up for AP Booster Club Membership.  Family membership is just $25 a year and helps support the AP activities.  Seniors must be members  to be eligible for Senior scholarships.

LEGISLATIVE FORUM

There is a Legislative Forum on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Colleyville Center from 6:30 - 8:00pm. Legislators from around the area or their representatives will be present to speak about their legislative priorities, specifically those related to education.

SENIORS JOIN PTSA

SENIORS....don't forget to join PTSA or renew your membership for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.  Remember that seniors must join CHHS PTSA by October to be eligible to apply for PTSA scholarships in Spring 2019.  CHHS PTSA is the booster club for all CHHS students, teachers and parents!  Sign up at THIS LINK.

VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK

All volunteers at CHHS (and for any GCISD school) must complete the following Volunteer Background Authorization form online.  All volunteers are required to reapply each year HERE . Click on volunteer handbook and complete this training for each school you will be volunteering at and also download the Application form to complete the background check.  

VOLUNTEER HOURS

If you did any volunteering for your favorite CHHS program this summer, or at any time during the school year, please submit your volunteer hours and encourage other volunteers to do the same.  PTSA collects the number of volunteer hours so that GCISD can use them for applying for grants and other uses.  This is only parent hours, not students' Community Scholar hours (see CSAP program guidelines on the Counseling website about that). SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED

Do you find yourself always on campus volunteering and helping out?  Want to be more involved in the classroom and get a paycheck?  Then subbing might just be for you!

We are hiring qualified candidates to substitute teach for GCISD.  If you are looking to impact kids and help make a difference we want you!  You must have a minimum of 60 college hours to APPLY HERE.  If you have questions contact erica.pasvar@gcisd.net.
