The Exponents' support of the Math and Science HS depends on a series of fundraisers throughout the school year. As details are available, they will be posted on the Exponents Calendar.
We need volunteers to help make arrangements, and work at the events! Please see watch your email for volunteer requests and sign up!
The following list shows the traditional Exponents fundraising events:
Barnes & Noble Book Fund Raiser
Buy Your Student's Required Reading Books through Exponents and Barnes & Noble and Earn $$ to benefit the Math/Sci program. The books you order are delivered to your student in their English class in October. No stress for you and one more task out of the way. What an easy way to help. 20% of the book sales support Exponents!
Fall Yard Sale
THE FALL YARD SALE IS SCHEDULED FOR September 24th(rain date 10/1). FOR FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT Lisa Foulds at email@example.com (Yard Sale email is checked from July to Oct only)
This well-known annual event will be held from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and involves the whole community. Vendors can email firstname.lastname@example.org. Yard Sale spaces in the Clover Hill HS parking lot can be reserved at a cost of $25 for two spaces. CHHS clubs or booster organizations receive a discounted rate on Yard Sale spaces. Exponents also raises funds by having a concession stand at the event. This is a big effort for a group of dedicated volunteers to plan, market and and organize the event. Extra student and parent volunteers are needed on the day of the event to ensure it runs smoothly. Student volunteers can use this as an opportunity for community service hours. The Yard Sale is traditionally the Exponents' biggest fund raiser with the proceeds used to fund three $500 scholarships for Math/Sci seniors.
Every dollar contributed goes directly to the Mathematics and Science High School to provide items not normally funded by the County – items which will enrich your child's high school learning experience. In the past, the Exponents sponsored Giving Campaign has helped fund special lab equipment, internet technology, and a Smartboard, just to name a few things. If everyone contributed just $5 - $10, we could provide additional enhancements for our children's education. To contribute, please make your check payable to "Math/Science H.S." and write donation on the memo line.
