'Stop Arming Saudi' - Silent Vigils

The conflict between the Saudi-led coalition and Houthi rebels in Yemen has resulted in a humanitarian disaster. More than 2 million people are internally displaced.  14.5 million people, nearly 8 million of who are children, have no access to clean water and sanitation resulting in a cholera epidemic. Food shortages mean 2 million children are suffering acute malnutrition.

There is evidence UK weapons sold to Saudi Arabia are being used in violations of international humanitarian law in Yemen.  The government does not accept this and continues to sell weapons to Saudi and court their business. 

To highlight this unethical behaviour and to encourage people to let the government know they need to stop arming Saudi, we hold a Silent Vigil at The Cross in Chester on the last Saturday of the month.  If you would like to join us, whatever your age, check our Facebook page for more details or contact us at
