Interested in learning about HAM Radio?

posted Oct 14, 2010, 6:41 AM by John Heuchan

Bob Bogert, a Dundalk resident, welcomes scouts who are interested in learning about amateur radio operations.  Amateur radio, sometimes referred to as ham radio, is both a hobby and a service that uses radio communications equipment to communicate around the world with other radio amateurs for public service, and recreation. In October of each year the Boy Scouts Jamboree on the Air takes place where over 400,000 Scouts and Guides "get together" over the airwaves.  Contact John McConnell if you are interested.
