Mai Soong Kha (MSK) New Tai Radio station will be setup in the end of 2007 an immediate opening for below positions. One position available to serve as the chief operator of MSK Radio. As chief operator, the General Manager will be expected to oversee the day-to-day operations of the station. A General Manager should possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be team-oriented and possess a creative sense.
MSK Radio is in search of a News Director. The News Director will be responsible for overall planning, development and production of all news programming, including management of the news staff, and involvement in the creation and implementation of the annual operating budget. Other key duties include determining editorial and creative standards for all news programming and strategic planning and positioning for audience growth.
One position available to create and/or oversee on-air programming at MSK Radio. We are looking for a good communicator and leader with a love for hard news and know how to deal with breaking news. The successful candidate must understand how to use video and graphics to produce a solid newscast and be able to break down complex stories in a clear and concise manner through presentation and writing. This is not a position for beginners and so only experienced candidates will be considered. The Program Director must have experience and/or be willing to become familiar with the pristine automated system and Music Plus software. A Program Director should exhibit a high level of creativity as well as computer skills. They should also be team-oriented, possess organizational skills, and have the ability to meet deadlines.
One position available to provide programming content of a musical nature for MSK Radio. The Music Director will be available to review and catalogue all Tai music that comes to MSK Radio. A music director must have a diverse musical background. They should be team-oriented, possess organizational skills, and have the ability to work for others and meet deadlines.
Promotions and Underwriting Director
One position available to direct and implement all promotional activity with MSK Radio to the business and listening community and to be in charge of various fundraising activities such as sponsorships, donations and membership drives. A Promotions Director must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be creatively oriented with the ability to multitask and handle lots of details. They should also be team-oriented, and have the ability to work for others and meet deadlines. Experience or interest in marketing and sales is a plus.
One position available to be responsible for all technical aspects of station equipment and the production laboratory, including maintenance and repair. The Technical Director must have experience and feel comfortable working with both hardware such as a mixer, patch bay and rack components, and software such as ProTools. A Technical Director should be team-oriented, possess organizational skills, and have the ability to work for others, meet deadlines and take direction as well as initiative.
Reporter (10 Positions)
MSK Radio is looking for an energetic, hard-working reporter to cover the Shan State and Burma cities areas. Responsibilities would include covering the city beat and feature assignments for the MSK Radio management. Reporter will have to hunt the daily news and information from assigned area in Shan State and report direct to MSK Radio Office in Thailand. MSK will provide special equipments and training. A reporter monthly wage is up to 20,000 baht.
