Superb 10 mile multi-terrain race from Pewsey, Wilshire – very similar terrain to Terminator, but not quite as long or as tough. Great cakes!

 Feb – any weekend in February Riverfront parkrun (Newport) – road
Fast, flat, out and back on mixture of tarmac paths and paving, following the River Usk. There is a good café (and loos) in the Riverfront Theatre. Good chance for a PB!

Very well organised, accurately measured/certified 10 mile road race – flat, so good chance for a PB. It’s held on Good Friday – 30 March, so technically not quite in April, but who’s arguing?!

Hilly off-road, 10 mile multi-terrain race with 1568ft of ascent, organised by friendly South East Wales club Islwyn.

 June 5 mile bridge race (Harriers only race) - road
This will be the same course as Rogueruns’ five mile night race, so it is a measured 5 mile distance, and will be held in daylight on a Tuesday or Thursday evening in June – date TBC.

Due to the popularity of the FODAC mile race this year, we’re going to organise a mile round the LC track on a training night in July – just like the ‘noughties’ mile earlier this year. This will give the short speedsters a chance to shine!

Organised by San Domenico Running Club, this well organised, marked and marshalled race is a scenic, accurately measured 10K race route, mainly along the Taff Trail.

Scenic, fast, flat half marathon in Mid Wales. Good chance for a PB. Also, chance to make a weekend of it for those that would like to.

Six mile multi-terrain race with single track trails, forest tracks, fields and a very small amount of quiet country lanes, organised by our local, friendly running club – Spirit of Monmouth.

 Nov Howling Bull Run - off-road
Organised by FOD member Dan Sandford, this gem of a race starts at Walford Village Hall, it climbs up Bulls Hill along the beautiful Wye Valley Walk, then loops around the woodland footpaths on Leys Hill and Howle Hill. It’s approx. 10k.
