We needed a second IP address for our new cable connection; Shira's computer needed an ethernet port and I needed wifi. I love my AirPort Express but it doesn't have an ethernet port so it was time to buy a Linksys. I found this cool little compact wireless broadband router with four ethernet ports on it for only $30 after rebates. Whoo! Setup was a snap too, even though the company provides scant support for Mac users.

Bought a Buffalo Linkstation. 250 Gig storage, 10/100 ethernet & 2 USB ports. Admin interface via a web browser, this nice piece of kit uses an embedded Linux. FTP/Samba access, but no rsync unfortunately.
