Campus Improvement Plan

Principal's Message

My name is Daniel Villarreal and I am privileged to serve as principal of Cesar Chavez Middle school. I would like to congratulate our outstanding faculty and staff for their hard work, commitment, and accomplishments this past year. Our staff has worked tirelessly in preparing students academically, athletically, musically, and in the Arts. Having been the UIL Academic District Champions for two consecutive years, our goal is to continue in that tradition. As well, we met the state standard in the state achievement tests earning a special distinction in reading. Our aim for this year is to create a challenging curriculum, with meaningful instruction that fosters collaboration with students and staff. This would fulfill what the former U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes, once said..."man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions."  I would like to extend a most successful and exciting school year for our faculty, staff, and La Joya ISD.
