About Me

My approach to therapy is based very much on you and your relationships.

This means I would be thinking with you about how you relate to the significant people in your life; but I will also be observing how you relate to yourself. In addition, I will take into account important relationships in your past, and how these may unconsciously be influencing your present feelings and behaviour.

I am always focussing on my therapeutic relationship with you, and I don't tend to remain silent for very long periods. I believe that it is the quality of our therapeutic alliance, and the ability to think about issues together, that can bring about encouraging feelings of development and change.

I have a Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck College, University of London.
I have completed a short course in Couples Therapy at the Tavistock Clinic.
I am a qualified Supervisor (trained at Westminster Pastoral Foundation).
I am a fully Accredited member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and work within the BACP ethical framework for good practice.

You are very welcome to come and see me in my private practice with any anxieties you may be facing, and we can think about what may be the best way forward for you. Please feel free to contact me.
