  • 5/4/2016: baby Altair is born!
  • 6/25/2015: started postdoctoral fellow position in the Freimer lab, Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics, Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, UCLA.
  • 5/6/2015: Gave talk at CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology, Shanghai, hosted by Dr. Shuhua Xu. Also visited Dr. Felix Li Jin at Fudan University.
  • 4/30/2015: Gave talk at Center for Genomic Sciences, The University of Hong Kong (4/30), hosted by Dr. Pak Sham.
  • 4/9/2015: the beginning of my Asia tour. Gave talk at Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan (4/9), hosted by Drs. Cathy Fann and Chen-Yang Shen. Toured the institute and discussed about the recent Taiwanese Biobank project.
  • 3/31/2015: completed my NRSA postdoctoral fellowship.
  • 8/6/2013: baby Caspian is born!
  • 5/7/2013: migrated the website from the old address to google sites!

Current / Ongoing Projects
  • Identifying loci associated with cardiometabolic and anthropometric traits in large scale sequencing data from population and family Finnish cohorts
  • Investigating the genetics of height in East Asian populations and its commonality with European populations
  • Inferring the demographic history and population structure of Sardinia using whole-genome sequencing data
