FutureCat and otakuu, two absolutely lovely New Zealand BookCrossers are in the midst of a  World Bookcrossing Tour.  They left New Zealand headed to the BookCrossing 7th Anniversary Convention, in London, with the goal of seeing as many BookCrossers as they journey "there and back again".  Though the two are splitting up periodically to be able to visit more folks, both FutureCat and otakuu, along with buffra, who drove them from the DC area, came to  Charleston.

We planned a few events, both formal and informal, and hoped that South Carolina BookCrossers, and those from off, could make it to Charleston to visit them.

What we did:

  • Supper at Jim and Nick's downtown
  • laughed a lot
  • Breakfast at the Bear E Patch - 1980 Ashley River Rd.
  • laughed a lot
  • A Cooking Class featuring Low Country cuisine (get yourself some shrimp and grits, folks!) at Fork and Spoon.
  • laughed a lot
  • Basic touring of Charleston and a carriage ride

We had a grand time!
