Division 56 Fellows Application Process

Welcome Division 56 Members interested in Initial APA Fellows Nomination and Election Process Steps:


  1. Applicant reviews Manual for Nominating Fellows of APA and completes the document file, Qualification Self Check-list for Prospective Applicants for APA Fellow Status, to insure they are eligible for Fellows Status in APA. Candidates are encouraged to include the completed form with their application materials below.
  2. Fellows Applicant completed and sent to Division Fellows Committee chair via email as an attachment by December 1 (this will enable the Chair to distribute easily to the Committee for review). These include:
  3. Fellows Applicant solicits at least three colleagues to complete the Fellows Status Evaluation Form and a Fellow Status Evaluation Worksheet for those providing Fellows endorsements (at least 3) by the December 1 st deadline.
  4. Division 56 Fellows Committee reviews the above and completes a Division Fellows Chair Statement for each candidate recommend by the Committee. Those recommended to APA Fellow status require the Fellows Chair to forward the above materials to the Division Executive Committee for endorsement no later than January 10.
  5. Division 56 Executive Board President forwards nominations to the APA Fellows Department by February 1.
