Research and Development

I am a maker and I post all of my latest experiments on my Tumblr page: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/makingitwithcharles

You can find some of my open source code projects at my GitHub: https://github.com/luftbuefel/

Flint Particle Editor Software
I wrote software to facilitate artists creating particle effects without the aid of programmers. The final effects are exported as .js files for HTML5 games or .as files for Flash.

Image analysis and pattern creation
Developed a series of image analysis and pattern creation software to create artistic works. Below are some examples of images recreated using random RGB dots, RGB rectangles of varying intensities, nested RGB circles, black circles, and letters spelling the word 'imagine'. In the future I may create an app with this class to create patterns for textile art.

BBC Micro:bit Development
I've been working on a variety of games and apps using the BBC Micro:bit computer with Python and Javascript. These games and apps are designed as part of a programming curriculum I have been developing. I have made them freely available under the MIT license and they can be found at my Github account: https://github.com/luftbuefel/

Software created in 2006 with Flash that allows the creation of animation by way of puppeteering characters in real-time and recording the movement for playback.
