Fall 2017 Fundraising Opportunities

WELCOME TO THE  2017-2018 MARCHING CHARGERS!  The Centennial Band Boosters have set up fundraising opportunities starting now through December.  The idea is to help you put money in your personal account to help YOU fund your trip to Disney!  All of the information is shown in the attachment below.
 
Talk to your family, friends, neighbors, and everyone else you know about the Marching Chargers trip to Disney in March and ask for their support!

Band Boosters Un-Raiser

Each year the Band Boosters employ various fundraising techniques to help support the needs for our band. For those of you that are less familiar with what our Boosters raise money for, here is a brief list of what Booster dollars provide:


·        New instruments & music

·        Instrument repairs

·        Marching & Pep band t-shirts

·        Instructors/Guest artists

·        Uniforms & uniform maintenance

·        Trailer maintenance

·        Band camp 

·        Color guard expenses

·        Hospitality at band performances

·        Scholarships

·        Competition/Performance expenses

 

The Band Boosters would appreciate any donation to this fundraiser to help us buy new music and equipment for our band.  If you have any questions about the fundraiser or would like additional information about our booster club, please feel free to email me at grants@chargerbands.com

Banding Together to Save Lives Blood Drive: July 11-16, 2016

We are partnering with the Community Blood Services of Illinois to serve our community and raise money for the Band Boosters.  Help us show that Centennial is the BEST!  We will be competing with Central and Urbana. We are hoping to have the MOST donors.  Be sure to tell them that you are with Centennial when you register.

20 donations = $250 grant for the Band

Barnes and Noble Fundraiser May 6th 4:30-6:30pm

Jazz Concert at Barnes and Noble featuring all Jazz Bands and Combos.  10%-15% of sales in the store that day go to the entire Band by mentioning the Centennial Band Boosters.  Purchases can be made online as well that day and for the following 4 days using the code 11358959 or printing out the attached voucher.

Sales in the Cafe will benefit us as well.  Even Nook purchases benefit us but at a lower percentage.  So come grab a snack, a drink and a good book and help us raise more funds for the band!

These purchases may be made with Barnes and Noble gift cards purchased online at shopwithscrip.com and the band will receive those proceeds as well.   This means that we can earn money from two different sources on the same single purchase!!!

U of I Food Sales Orientation 8/14/13

Band Parents and Students,
 
We have been offered the opportunity to sell food in the stands at the U of I home football games.  In order to take advantage of this you must attend the orientation  Wed. Aug. 14 @ 6pm.  The minimum age  is 15 so adults are encouraged to work too.  Once you attend orientation you may sell food at any of the home football games this season!!!!  So you get to earn money and watch the football game!
 
After each game 15% of your sales will be reported and paid to the Band Boosters with a spreadsheet showing how much each person earned.  As with all fundraisers 50% will go to the Boosters and 50% will go to your student's trip account. (We have to do this to maintain our tax exempt, nonprofit status.) In this situation however everyone gets to keep their own tips after the game!
 
To attend the orientation park in the lot west of ARC (IMPE Bld.) & walk to gate #24.  All of our questions will be answered there.  Attending the orientation does not mean that you have to work any of the games but if you think you might want to work you must attend the orientation.
