  1. October 6, 2020: Siddarth Asokan received the prestigious Robert Bosch Center PhD Fellowship for the academic year 2020-2021.
  2. October 5, 2020: Banuprasad Bathala receives the Robert Bosch Center Masters Project Grant for the academic year 2020-2021.
  3. September 28, 2020: Sunil Rudresh successfully defended his PhD thesis today! Sunil is the 7th PhD student to graduate from the lab. Prof. Vikram Gadre from IIT Bombay was the examiner. Sunil is also the first student to defend his PhD thesis fully virtually.
  4. September 26, 2020: Siddarth Asokan has an accepted paper to NeurIPS 2020.
  5. September 7, 2020: Jishnu Sadasivan and Jitendra Kumar Dhiman have an accepted paper to Speech Communication.
  6. July 31, 2020: Ashish Rao has an accepted paper to IEEE Signal Processing Letters. The work is sponsored by Pratiksha Trust.
  7. July 21, 2020: Subhadip Mukherjee is a recipient of the SPCOM Doctoral Dissertation Award (Honorable Mention) for his PhD Thesis on "Sparsity Driven Solutions to Linear and Quadratic Inverse Problems."
  8. June 28, 2020: Kartheek Reddy is a happy recipient of the prestigious Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship for the academic year 2020-2021.

  13. May 5, 2020: Harish Kumar JR has an accepted paper to PLOS ONE. This is a collaborative effort with doctors from Narayana Nethralaya (Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology) and University Eye Clinic, Maastricht University, The Netherlands.

  23. July 4, 2019: Siddarth received the prestigious Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship 2019. Prof. Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India 2019 presented him the award at a ceremony held in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
  24. June 16, 2019: Saurav and Sunil have an accepted paper to the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IEEE-IUS) 2019, which will be held in Scotland, during October 6 - 9, 2019. This is a collaborative effort with Prof. Arun Thittai's lab at IIT Madras.

  41. June 20, 2018: Sudarshan Nagesh is selected for The Alfred Hay Medal for The Best M.Sc. (Eng.) Thesis of the Department of Electrical Engineering. His thesis is entitled, "Super-Resolution Reconstruction in Biomedical Imaging: A Finite-Rate-of-Innovation Approach." The medal will be awarded on June 25, 2018.

  53. January 17, 2018: Basty Ajay Shenoy successfully defended his PhD thesis on "Phase retrieval and Hilbert integral equations -- Beyond minimum-phase." Ajay Shenoy is the fourth PhD student to graduate from the lab. Prof. P. Jaming from la Université de Bordeaux and l'Institut de Mathématiques de Bordeaux was the international examiner and Prof. Vikram M. Gadre from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was the Indian examiner.

  56. November 30, 2017: Aniruddha Adiga successfully defended his PhD thesis on "Sparsity motivated auditory wavelet representation and  blind deconvolution." He is the third PhD student to graduate from the lab. Prof. Ivan Selesnick from New York University was the international examiner and Prof. S. Umesh from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras was the Indian examiner.
  57. November 17, 2017: Aniruddha Adiga, Aritra Bhowmik, Subhadip Mukherjee, Debabrata Mahapatra have accepted papers to NIPS 2017 Bayesian Deep Learning Workshop.
  58. September 13, 2017: Subhadip Mukherjee gave his PhD thesis colloquium on "Sparsity driven solutions to linear and quadratic inverse problems."
  59. September 11, 2017: Satish Mulleti defended his PhD thesis successfully today, on "Sub-Nyquist Sampling and Super-Resolution Imaging." Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri from IIT Bombay was the Indian examiner and Prof. Massimo Francesschetti, University of California San Diego was the international examiner.
