I am an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Bucknell University! Previously I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tulane University in the Mathematics Department and the Center for Computational Science. My research mentors are Lisa Fauci at Tulane University and Eric Tytell in the Biology Department at Tufts University. My research involves mathematical modeling of biological systems, often in the context of organism-environment interactions. In particular I am interested in how different systems coordinate across multiple scales to produce basic behaviors, such as feeding or locomotion. I am also interested in the physical constraints on these systems that influence function on a systems level. |
