CFUW Kelowna

   CFUW Kelowna meets the third Monday of the month from September to May.

We meet 7pm at the Seniors' Centre, 1353 Richter Street, Kelowna. Map available on "Contact Us" page.

We typically socialize for half an hour, enjoy a guest speaker followed by a short business meeting.

   We also have special events such as our Christmas Party or visit interesting community locations e.g. the CHBC Studio.

   We coordinate a variety of Interest Groups and Study Groups. Check out the "Interest Groups" page. 

● For Members, check out our great News Letter emailed tor you monthly, for current information on scheduled events. Check it out to view recent pictures taken at these events.

   We present scholarships and bursaries (approximately $15,000 annually), with sizable endowment funds established at Okanagan College and the Central Okanagan Bursary and Scholarship Society (COBBS).  For more information check out the "Scholarships/Bursaries" page.

   We contribute financially to many community projects annually.                                                                                 Past recipients have included the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Project Literacy,Habitat for Humanity, Mission Park Greenway, the EECO Centre, and the Gellatly Nut Farm,

● We are very active in the community being a catalyst or initiator of a number of projects including: the formation of OUC, water sampling to South Okanagan Health Unit, Career Night for High School girls,MS Infinity Conferences to encourage girls in Science, Kelowna Community Theatre, and Friends of the Library.

● We value our members: many members have made life time friendships. We value our members: we welcome and encourage new members. Come check us out.


Membership in CFUW Kelowna is open to all interested women who support the purpose and objectives of CFUW.

Dues:  Membership fees are $90 per year. This amount includes hall rental for our monthly meetings and dues paid to the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) for Head Office activities, and to BC Council.

Student Membership: CFUW defines a Student Member as a woman who is a resident of Canada and is studying full time in an accredited post-secondary institution. A Student Member is entitled to all privileges and responsibilities of CFUW and would pay 50% of CFUW per-capita dues and 50% of CFUW Kelowna dues.
