We are a team of voluntary Community First Responders who live in and around the West side of Huddersfield.

We work in partnership with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust (YAS), which provides the ambulance services in Yorkshire.

As Community First Responders we are dispatched to life threatening medical emergencies to provide immediate care until the Ambulance arrives.

Conditions to which volunteers may be activated:
  • Cardiac arrest
  • Unconscious
  • Chest pains
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Diabetic emergencies
  • Epileptic Emergencies
  • Stroke (CVA)
  • Anaphylaxis (allergic reaction)
  • Choking

Trained to a high standard by YAS and reasessed every 6 months, our volunteers operate with confidence and use their skills to save lives.
