Baptism Service

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit…(Matthew 28: 19)

Baptism services are always a time of great celebration in the life of the church family, so when someone professes their faith in Jesus and their determination to follow him, (symbolised by washing away their ‘old life’ through full immersion in water) our Church is normally full to overflowing.

That is an important step in their journey of faith as it represents the forgiveness and cleansing from sin that comes through belief in the Lord Jesus Christ; a new start to take on a new life, hidden in Christ.

Infant Dedication

We practice “believer’s baptism” – in other words, a decision made by the individual themselves, so we do not baptise babies or infants, but are happy to celebrate with parents in an act of dedication and thanksgiving. This provides the opportunity to welcome a child into the church family, to give thanks for the gift of a child, to pray for God’s blessing upon the child and its parents, and to dedicate ourselves, as parents and as a church fellowship, to play our part in nurturing the child in a Christian environment.
