My career goal as marine geneticist is to raise awareness and preserve the environment through the most efficient and effective means of restoring our rivers and oceans. The aim is simple clean water.

Over the past three years, I have been researching the effects of phenotypical and genotypical attributes of the Eastern Oyster (Crassostrea virginica), and comparing this to their overall performance for restoring the New York Harbor. This is just one of many projects I hope to achieve. My future plans for my scientific research include studying the genotype of “Killer Algae”Caulerpa Taxifolia, the “Colossal Squid” Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni, and researching alongside the best scientists in Antarctica. Still the biggest endeavor, I am looking forward to, is earning my doctorates degree in genetics.
