I am a freshwater ecologist and geneticist with a particular interest in diversity distribution patterns of insects at large spatial and temporal scales and the underlying evolutionary processes that drive these patterns. My current research focuses on examining macroecological patterns of insect diversity at both population (intraspecific genetic diversity) and community (species diversity) levels and how they correlate to determine the effect of dispersal, species interactions, environmental gradients, landscape features and disturbances (habitat stability).

Currently, I have a Beatriu de Pinós Postdoctoral Fellow. After two years at Mark Vellend's lab, Département de Biologie, Université de Sherbrooke (Québec), I am in the one year return at Departament d'Ecologia, Universitat de Barcelona (Catalonia).
