Anne (who we met on our January trip to Atlanta--she had signed up to come work with us there, but due to the snow--she is a reporter and an inch of snow is big news in some parts of the country--she could not come.) So instead she volunteered with Belles Inc., a service organization founded by a group of University of Alabama alumnae. They painted dorms rooms at the Lovelady Center in Birmingham, AL. The center is a residential and transitional home for women just released from prison.
