Principal's Message May-June 2014
The month of May is truly a busy time of the school year, as evidenced by the "Upcoming Events in May" which has been listed to the left. We will be finishing up our HSA testing, attending grade level field trips, attending special events (band concert, awards ceremony, Ho'ike, and our year-end dance), and bringing a close to the 2013-2014 school year. Important Uniform Change Begins SY2014-2015
Beginning SY2014-2015, Central Middle School will be implementing a NEW UNIFORM POLICY. Unlike previous years, there will no longer be loaner uniforms for students to borrow. In helping our families plan for next school year, we are providing advance notice of our change in policy which can be found below. Again, this policy will take effect NEXT school year. McKinley Summer Bridge Program
McKinley will be offering incoming 9th graders a chance to participate in their Summer Bridge Program. This is a five week program that will help students strengthen their math and writing skills. Students who successfully complete the program will earn high school credit! Click for contact info.
Free and reduced meal plans dates updated for 2013-2014
All students who were eligible to receive free and reduced meals last year must submit a new application by September 09, 2013 to continue eligibility. Please fill out application completely (don’t forget parent/guardian signature).

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Accreditation Visit was from February 27 - March 1, 2012. We received a 6-year accreditation term with midterm review by the WASC! You can view that report here.
