Cross Country by definition:" is a sport in which runners race on open-air courses over natural terrain." The daily practices at Central Range from 1mile to 1.5 miles on given days accompanied by speed training. Courses are typically under 2.5 miles at the greatest lengths.  A course, may include surfaces of grass and earth, pass through woodlands and open country, and include hills and flat ground. It is both an individual and a team sport, as runners are judged on an individual basis and a points scoring method for teams.
