Do you like writing?
Do you want to share your writing?
Do you want to have your writing published?
Do you like puppies?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then you should submit your writing to Little Magnolia, Central’s literary magazine! This is the first school year a literary magazine will be published, so you have the chance to be in the first edition of a line of literary magazines showcasing Central’s literary talent! The genres you can submit to are: fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and middle school, which is a genre specifically for all middle school submissions. If you’re nervous about sharing your writing (let’s be honest, who isn’t?), if your piece is accepted you have the option to submit it anonymously. No matter if your piece is accepted or not, the lit mag editors will review every submission and give you feedback. The pieces most likely to be accepted are those that have a strong message, coherent ideas, and an original perspective. Currently, the deadline for submissions is Christmas. Your writing should be submitted online to the Little Magnolia website at http://cmslitmag.weebly.com/, which can also be accessed through Ms. Morris’ class web page. Before you submit, make sure you carefully read through each genre’s guidelines that are listed on the website. Good luck, and happy writing!
