Bill Hrnjak

Bill Hrnjak is a retired Motion Picture and TV Construction Coordinator and retired General Contractor, who spent the last portion of his busy 40-plus year career working in facilities maintenance at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.  A self-proclaimed "amateur" musician, Bill’s love of music dates back to his early school days in Wisconsin and his band days at Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks and Cal State Northridge in the San Fernando Valley.  Bill served several tours of duty with the US Army as an Engineer Construction Foreman and Operations NCO in Korea between 1967 and 1970.  Bill enjoys playing trombone, bass trombone and euphonium in multiple Central Coast bands including both Hancock College’s Symphonic band and Jazz Ensemble during the school year and the Atascadero Community Band during the summer months.  He has also played with the SLO County Band, the Santa Ynez Wind Ensemble and the Dick Clark Big Band in Lompoc.  Bill currently writes and distributes the publicity for CCS and manages the blast e-mail notifications for the group.  His primary interests are playing bass trombone and playing Swing style music, always learning and growing…………
