Magee Family Cemetery

Located between two homes at 14927 and 14931 Wainsfield, (off of Tenderen) at the corner of Padstow, Channelview,Texas.

Dates 1860's to 1950's. Part of the old J. P. Magee Plantation, one acre with about 10 graves. James Purdy Magee built and owned a free ferry at Magee Crossing located on Greens Bayou around 1850. Magee owned property on both sides of the bayou.

I could locate maybe 7 graves at this time. This cemetery is in very bad shape, needs help.

3 or 4 broken bases.

Wyatt Jasper Magee, son of E.L. and J.P. Magee, born-June 17,1869 died-dates are buried

Elizabeth Emily, dau. of E.L. and J.P. Magee, born-Oct. 14,1866 died-Nov. 10,1868

John P. Magee born-Sept. 20,1858 died-Mar. 8,1918

Others buried here but not marked.

James Purdee Magee, Sr. Born-Jan. 28,1831 Died-Jan. 26,1918

Elizabeth Lucetta Magee Born-Feb. 8,1839 Died-Dec. 24,1903 (James Magee's 1st wife)

Sarah Nell Magee Born-England Died-Jan. 23,1911 (James Magee's 2nd wife)
