Hi!
I'm Célia Moreira, an invited assistant professor at Universidade Aberta and a member of CMUP (Centre of Mathematics, University of Porto).
I did my Master's and PhD in Mathematics at the University of Porto (2+4 years), under the supervision of A.A.Davydov (Moscow State University-Russia & IIASA-Austria) and H.Mena-Matos (Univ. Porto). The topic of these theses was Singularity Theory, within Differential Geometry and Topology. Afterwards, I worked as a researcher in two different areas: a postdoc in the dynamics of complex networks (CMUP, 2010-16), a postdoc in mathematical modelling and applied statistics (CIPsi, 2016-19) and a research contract (FCUP & CMUP, 2019-2025). I also taught for most of those years (Maths Dept., FCUP & U.Minho), mainly Linear Algebra, Calculus, Probability and Statistics.
I have published articles in international peer-reviewed journals, as well as presented communications in international scientific conferences. Besides, I have experience as a reviewer (Mathematical Reviews, AMS) and referee. Her areas of research are dynamical systems (bifurcation theory and complex networks) and applied statistics.
My research interests are Singularity theory, Dynamical systems, Bifurcation theory, Dynamics of complex networks, and Mathematical modeling.
