Novice Registration

The Seattle Celebrating Life! Dragon Boat Race will have 3 team categories within the Novice Division:  Corporate Cup, Health Care Professional Cup, and Community Cup. Teams from different divisions may compete against each other during the race day, but will compete only within their own divisions for their respective Trophy Finals. The top team in each category will take the perpetual trophy for their category for the upcoming year.

Corporate Cup                                             Entry - $3000 min.


Team Building, fun on the water, learning one of the fastest growing water sports in the world and competing for the “Corporate” Cup makes for a unique opportunity for your corporation.  Also, your company will receive special recognition at the race and in the program. This is a win-win for all. Your participation will help support Team Survivor Northwest’s cancer outreach programs.

Health Care Professionals Cup               Entry - $1500 min.


Individuals working in the medical field and cancer support organizations are provided team building opportunities, as well as an opportunity to participate in one of the fastest growing sports in the world. See first-hand the benefits and rewards Dragon Boat Racing has within the cancer community.  Make your organization proud by competing for and bringing home the “Specimen” Cup.


Community Cup

        Entry -  $650 if postmarked and paid in full by June 1, 2011      

                        $750 after June 1, 2011


Fitness combined with fun on the water and camaraderie with family, friends and co-workers is a win-win for you and TSNW.  Your entry fee supports our cancer outreach programs while your participation provides you an opportunity to learn one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Who knows... you may walk away with the “Community” Cup!!!



First time to register a team?  No problem. It is fast and painless!
Remember we will provide an experienced tiller and coach from one of the local dragon boat clubs. They will guide your team through the basics and get you ready to be competitive on Race Day. Your team captain will make arrangements when setting up your 3 practices.

Follow-Up After Registering:

  •     Schedule your team's practices;
  •     Review the Festival's Rules and Regulations;
  •     Fill out the Team Roster and have each team member fill out a waiver;
  •     Submit your Team Bio by August 1st (appears in the race program);
  •     You will receive a team packet outlining critical race information.
