Carlos Eduardo Hernández
I am a Ph.D. economist specializing in transportation, sustainability, and industrial economics. I employ data analytics, econometrics, and financial models to develop markets, improve regulation, and inform decision-making.
My consulting work promotes a sustainable and efficient transportation sector; my academic publications study the regulation of economic sectors such as brewing, transportation, and banking.
As a consultant, I have conducted financial analyses, market studies, and evaluations of public policies aimed at decarbonizing freight transport. I have also estimated the economic benefits of improved road infrastructure, the costs of delays and wait times, and the willingness to pay for visibility technologies in road freight transport.
My research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Public Economics, AEA Papers and Proceedings, and the Journal of Iberian and Latin American Economic History.
I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
