Arrest-4/11/14 Lewis, Lawerence (Probation Violation)

On March 13th, Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public's help in locating Lawrence Lewis DOB 5-25-75, reference a probation violation out of Black Hawk County. On 4-10-14, the Coralville Police Department, acting on a Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers tip, located and arrested Lewis.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Update from April 2nd
On April 2nd the Cedar Falls Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public's help in identifying two females related to a theft investigation. One of the females has been identified as Jamie Denise Kelly, DOB 4-13-67. On 4-8-14 Kelly turned herself in at the Black Hawk County Jail and was booked in on warrants for Theft in the 2nd Degree and Theft in the 3rd Degree.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Wanted-4/02/14 (Theft)

040214ho-von-maur-theft-1CEDAR FALLS |  One person has been arrested but Cedar Falls Police are asking for the public's helping in finding two others in connection with thefts. Amanda E. Swaggerty, 26, of 438 Western Ave., Waterloo, was arrested on warrants in March charging her with second-degree theft and using a child in the commission of a crime -- a Class “C” Felony.

Police allege that Swaggarty and her accomplices stole more than $3,600 worth of merchandise from the Cedar Falls Von Maur Store in February and March. A follow-up investigation revealed that Swaggerty had used her 6-year-old daughter in the commission of the thefts. Swaggerty was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and later released on bond.

The Cedar Falls Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the two females in the attached photos related to this investigation. Those with information on the identity of the females may contact the Cedar Falls Police Department at 273-8612 or the Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers, 855-300-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be sent with TipSoft or by texting the word CEDAR plus the information to CRIMES (274637).

Arrest-4/04/14 Hampton, Andrew Jon (Probation Violation)

On 4-4-14, the Waterloo Police Department, acting on a Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers tip, located and arrested Andrew Jon Hampton DOB 6-10-92, in the 600 Block of Border Drive. Hampton was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and booked in on a Probation Violation and a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Arrest-4/04/14 Castillo, Salud (Sex Offender Registration Violation)

On 4-4-14 officers with the Waterloo Police Department located and arrested Salud Castillo DOB 12-4-93 near the intersection of Adams and Linn. Castillo was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and booked in on two probation violations for Sex Offender Registration Violations. He was also charged with Eluding and Interference with Official Acts.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Arrest-4/03/14 Dogic, Hasan Cortez (Pre-Trial Violations)

On April 3rd the Waterloo Police Department arrested Hasan Dogic DOB 10-28-94. Dogic was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and booked in on his warrants - Pre-Trial Violation- Assault Causing Serious Injury & Pre-Trial Violation-Possession of Prescription Pills with the Intent to Deliver  .

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Arrest-4/03/14 Williams, Cornelious Cortez (Pre-Trial Violation Sexual Abuse)

On April 1st, Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help in locating
Cornelious Cortez Williams DOB 2-13-95, reference him having a warrant for Pre-Trial Violation for Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree. On 4-3-14, the Waterloo Police Department, acting on a Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers tip, located and arrested Williams in the 1200 block of North Barclay Street. Williams was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail and booked in on his warrant.

Arrest-4/01/14 - Pyle, Virgil Kurdis (Burglary-3rd & Theft-2nd)

On March 28th, the Waterloo Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help in identifying the male in the picture.  Thanks to a tip the male was identified as Virgil Kurdis Pyle DOB 4-6-68.  On 4-1-14 Pyle was placed under arrest and transported to the Black Hawk County Jail where he was booked in on charges of Burglary 3rd and Theft 2nd.

Arrest-4/01/14 - McCutchison, Michael Anthony (Credit Card Theft)

In December 2012 and again in February 2014, the Waterloo Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help in identifying the male in the picture reference an alleged fraud.  Thanks to a tip the male was identified as Michael Anthony McCutchison DOB 8-24-60.  On 3-28-14 a warrant was issued for McCutchison charging him with Forgery.  On 4-1-14 McCutchison turned himself in to the Black Hawk County Jail.

Arrest-3/24/14 Exom, Rajanae Arshon & 16 year old (4th Degree Theft)

On March 14th the Waterloo Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help in identifying two individuals reference an alleged theft at Dillard’s Department Store.  On March 24th Rajanae Arshon Exom DOB 10-2-95, and a 16 year old turned themselves in to the Waterloo Police Department.  Both Exom and the 16 year old were charged with Theft 4th.

Arrest-3/09/14 Talkington, Wesley Thomas (Sex Offender Registration Violation)

On March 9th, 2014 the El Dorado, Kansas Police Department, acting on a Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers tip, located and arrested Wesley Thomas Talkington DOB 2-10-92.  Talkington was wanted out of Iowa on a warrant for a Sex Offender Registration Violation.
