Dear Dr. Strein,
On this date, the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs is honoring your contributions to the
profession of School Psychology. You have advanced our field through your scholarly efforts in population-
based school psychology, prevention, social-emotional learning, and professional school psychology issues.
As a faculty member and Director of the School Psychology Program at the University of Maryland, you
have trained a significant number of school psychologists who have, in turn, advanced the field through
their own professional endeavors. You have assumed significant national leadership roles in School
Psychology as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs,
as a member of the Committee on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association, and as a
member of the Program Approval Board of the National Association of School Psychologists. You have
also achieved Fellow status in Division 16 of the American Psychological Association. We extend
a heartfelt thanks to you for your enduring contributions to our field and are pleased to hold this dinner
in your honor.
