The Colorado Department of Education Standards Implementation Team in collaboration with the Tointon Institute for Educational Change, is hosting a two-day training for principals and teacher leaders. Knowing that transformative implementation of the revised Colorado Academic
Standards (CAS) depends on school leaders, this training will provide participants with an
understanding of the components of a 21st Century learning system, tools to build collaborative decision making processes around implementation of the CAS as well as supports for school leaders to facilitate discussions and planning.

Participants will also have opportunities to network, discuss key concepts to transition to the CAS and learn about the four broad phases of Colorado’s standards implementation: awareness, transition, implementation and transformation.

Dates & Locations:
September 27 & 28, 2010 -     Grand Junction at the Redlands Community Center
October 5 & 6, 2010 -            Denver at Colorado Education Association
