Nano from chemistry of materials to biophotonics


Our goal is to develop a facile and simple synthesis method to fabricate multifunctional nonmaterial’s for nanomedicine applications. By integrating with near-infrared(NIR) light, photofuntional nanomaterial can act as a bioagent in medicine treatment. Ideally, cancer cells could be selectively destroyed during imaging. For example, nanoparticles can covert incident photo energy to generate photo signals (fluorescence imaging), thermal energy (photothermal energy) and/or triplet-stated O2- molecule (photodynamic therapy).
