TVXQ is also known as: Dong Ban Shin Ki, DBSK, Tohoshinki, THSK, and DBSG. It is an acapella singing group composed of five members. Each member were, prior to forming TVXQ, a lead singer of a different group under SM Entertainment. Starting out with their debut song, "Hug" in South Korea in 2004, they are now a dominant singing idol group all through out Asia. The name, in translation means, "Rising Gods of the East."

Being both strong and unique in dancing choreography and singing ability, TVXQ has become a singing sensation that will create ripple effects throughout the entire entertainment industry. What makes this group even more unique than prior singing groups is thier group name being 4 charactered, differing from the regular 3 charactered-named groups, AND their stage name being combined with their true names have also created 4 characters: Uknow Yunho (leader), Max Changmin, Hero Jaejoong (main vocal), Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu. Their stage names in korean, are all 4 characters long.

In 2005 and 2006, TVXQ has branched out to neighboring countries such as Japan, Taiwan, China, and Malaysia. They have even held their first Asian Tour Concert and completed it with miraculous success. In 2006, they are now doing more overseas promotions in Japan and have successfully completed their 2nd Japan Concert Tour, FITB (Five in the Black), with a record breaking sale of tickets being sold out withing 2-3 minutes of release.

Besides their singing and dancing abilities, TVXQ has also created mini dramas which also were successes. In Korea, their fan-base group is called "Cassiopeia" because typing in TVFXQ on the keyboard makes the constellation Cassiopeia. In Japan, their fan-base group is called "Bigeast" to represent TVXQ as a rising sensation from the Eastern Realm of the world that will grow even bigger in the future to span the entire world.

In 2007, TVXQ is now hard at work promoting and gaining wider support in Japan.
