Community Collective Society For Integrated Development (CCFID) is primarily a livelihood promotion agency registered under the Societies Registration Act, established in 2004. Its aim is to facilitate the development of marginalized and poor families through various livelihood promotion programmes. Its mission is to promote diverse sustainable livelihoods, viz., small businesses and microentrepreneurship development programme (based on local opportunities and options) for women and youth and facilitate technical assistance, grant and credit in an integrated manner. Community Collective will strive to strengthen the competitive spirit of poor families (particularly women) through handholding support and organizing them as community collective. Community Collective is the self -organization of women (a group of 20) who come together to discuss, plan and implement their development programmes. The genesis of “Community Collective” is to create and multiply the formation of selforganization of people as UNDP puts it “the foundation of poverty reduction is self-organization of the poor at community level…”

Community Collective Society for Integrated Development stands to provide the handholding support at the field level to bring awareness and build the necessary material and human capital to transform communities. Also it ardently believes in the innumerable opportunities available in the community for them to profitably fight their poverty rather than approaching poverty with a grim face of helplessness. The larger aim of helping people to actively participate in good governance can only be achieved by overcoming the survival difficulties of communities.

CCFID is a technical and Field support agency committed to help form institutions of poor people and make it work for them. CCFID is concerned about the enormous problems being faced by the women in India despite the quantum growth in science and technology, growth in economy and management skills: a vast majority of our people still remains outside the basic minimum quality of life. This huge disparity and gaps can be addressed better, if social development organizations and organizations

of poor work jointly towards realizing inclusive well being.

For promoting inclusive well being, the challenge is to concurrently create sufficient human and material capital. CCFID aims to aid this process of cocreation of wealth and well being for poor by supporting the initiatives of women groups and youth groups and their federations. The operating design of CCFID is thus geared towards providing a multiple set of opportunities and options to poor, particular women and youth groups and their federations to improve their lives by mobilizing first of all their support and strengths as well as other social development support agencies, viz., International NGOs, Foundations, Government and Corporate.
