Prince and Princess Contest

    Open  to all Cameron County boys and girls ages 5 through 10 (Must be 5 on or before August 4 and no older than 10 by August 4).

    To enter the contest, a parent or guardian should either print an application or call Jami Kempher at 486-1412 for an application.   Applications must be returned to Jami by July 25.

    Contestants will meet with out-of-town judges the week before the Fair.  Judging will be on appearance (party dress clothes for girls, dress shirt and pants for boys), response to judges' questions, vocal quality; poise and overall impression.

     Winners will be announced Friday, August 11 at 7:30 on the stage. Winners will receive $25, a crown and a sash.

Junior Miss Cameron County

    Contest is open to girls ages 11 through 15 who are residents of Cameron County (Must be 11 on or before August 6 and no older than 15 by August 6). Applications are available  online or by contacting Jami Kempher at 486-1412. Deadline for submitting applications is July 25. 

    Applicants will be judged on poise, appearance, vocal quality, response to judges' questions and on overall impression. 

     Applicants will be asked to submit a short essay (one paragraph) on "Why I would like to be Junior Miss Cameron County". Judging will be done  the week before the fair by out-of-town judges. Dates to be announced.   

    The crowning ceremony will be held Friday August 11 at 7:45 p.m..  Junior Miss Cameron County will receive $50, crown, sash and flowers.

Miss Cameron County

 Each Fair Queen contestant must

  • 1. Be a resident of Cameron County
  • 2. Be at least age 16, but no older than 20, years of age as of June 1.
  • 3. Not hold any other title for any other commodity group or pageant during her reign.
  • 4. Have her parent(s)' or guardian(s)' consent to enter the competition.
  • 5. Be single, have never been married, have not been pregnant nor given birth to a child.
  • 6. Act in accordance with the PA Fair Queen “Behavior Policy” 
  • 7. Meet all time commitments, Queen obligations and Dress Code
  •  
  • Applicants will be asked to submit an essay  on "What My Fair Means to My Community".  This is to be submitted with application. 
  • Queen contestants will be required to present a 3-5 minute speech in front of the judges only entitled "Why You Should Come To My Fair".
  • Queen contestants are required to give a 10-15 second introduction prior to speech and interview.
  • Queen contestants will also be required to create a poster of their life from the past year.  Pictures, ribbons, etc can be used.  Must be 1 piece of poster board.  Poster will be judged and added to score.  Poster will be due by August 4th.
  • Judging will be based on interview, written essay, oral speech, introduction, interaction with public, and poster.
  • Grand Prize $300, trip to state pageant in Hershey, flowers, sash and crown. Runner up receives $50.00.
    • **$300 will be broken up and given to winner 3 times.  Winner will receive $100 at crowning, $100 at last fair board meeting before Hershey, and finally $100 will be given after giving up reign, as long as all requirements are fulfilled.

  • Contestants must read the handbook, and turn in signed contract before the start of the fair.





Senior King & Queen

Nominate your favorite grandparent over the age of 55. Nominating is easy! Just fill out an application and submit it with a short bio and picture if possible, if not we'll take care of that!
