Reach for the Stars

Hello Phi Theta Kappa Members!

We have had a busy summer, gearing up and planning for a great year for the Beta Gamma Chi Chapter. We set our Chapter Goal at Four Stars!  Don't let it overwhelm you - we are practically through Two Stars already and have plans in motion to complete the rest of the requirements.

We have determined our Honors in Action topic, "In what ways does technology limit access and distribution of information?"  Expect to be hearing a lot more about this in the coming weeks.

Dr. Bornstein approved C4 - the Community College Completion Challenge as our College Project.  The Community College Completion Challenge is a coalition of six academic organizations to produce 5 million more associate degree and certificate holders by 2020. Phi Theta Kappa is the only student-led organization participating and we have big plans for the "Commit To Completion" Signing Days.

Some of you are finishing up with the second session of summer school.  If you have slacked off this summer like me, I hope you have been giving Competitive Edge a try.

Enjoy the last days of summer... we hope to see you this Friday, August 12th at the meeting.

- Kelly, VP of Leadership
