Sites for Great Books

CCA Reads
This is a site that I maintain to help promote reading with the students at CCA. Books are tagged by genre, which helps if you are looking for a specific type of book. Each entry contains a book synopsis and then opinion comments. There are also links to Ms. Santee (Newton), Ms. Koster, and my Goodreads accounts. This lets you know what books we have been reading and what we thought.

What Should I Read Next?
If you just finished a book you truly enjoyed, this is the site for you. Simply enter the title and a list of books that are of similar or enjoyed by others who loved that book also will appear!

Goodreads
A social networking site that focuses on reading and books, students have the opportunity to see what others are reading, what they think, and keep track of books read and books they wish to read. I highly suggest this site to students because it is an easy way for them to communicate with other readers.

Middle School, The Worst Years of My Life
3 of 5 stars
Probably a 3 1/2- I liked it more than I thought I would. It has a DWK feel at points, but has some really interesting twists.

Blogs I follow-The following is a list of blogs that I follow and enjoy reading. Each blog has a different format, but most tell about a book and what they liked or didn't like. If none of these work for you, this site has a directory of blogs that you can try (http://yabookblogdirectory.blogspot.com/p/ya-book-blogger-list.html).
