The successful applicant will submit a library research-based academic paper that exemplifies thoughtful, reflective attention to the research process. Papers should incorporate a minimum of five information sources that are appropriate for the discipline and subject matter of the research paper. These sources, gathered from both primary and secondary literature, should reflect appropriate use of library research tools. Information from these sources should be integrated with the applicant's own thoughts in a logical manner that substantiates claims and arguments or provides context. Papers will be evaluated on the logical and intelligent presentation of topic understanding and on overall quality.
Paper evaluation scores represent twenty percent of the overall score assigned to an entry portfolio.
