Content-Rich Curricular Resources

Integrating Web resources into your curriculum can be a springboard to creativity and new skills. How do you create useful activities from a Web site? You should first evaluate the site, considering these questions:

  • What at the site catches your "teacher's eye"?

  • Is it full of information your students will need?

  • Does it motivate your students to explore a topic by its visual appeal, animations and/or interactive features?

  • Does the site provide information that asks your students to apply higher cognitive processes of thought or action?

  • And, is the site easy to navigate and at the appropriate reading level for your students?

Here you will find quality, content-rich materials to be used in your lesson planning. These sites have all been recommended and test-driven by me, my colleagues, and the hundreds of teachers who have attended my workshops and taken my online courses.
