benji added more shelves (and changed the lighting - a relic 3 blue glass fixture that i found in papie's basement a long, long time ago) to make it look more wrap around shelving. i found the old woodworking boxes last week in jeannot's old woodshop. benji pieced them together above where i am standing and above the crock pot; that meant i had to take everything off the shelves in order to attach them all together! good excuse for spring cleaning: organizing, looked for broken seals, rebrined the olives, scrubbed down the shelves, dusted each bottle with vinegar and olive oil, found some treasures that i had forgotten, and gave away a few bottles of jam after seeing that i have as many as i have had birthdays!

The guide had mentioned "hot tea or cocoa" but not exactly how you would obtain it. There was an old gas burner, with two old kettles. The only problem? No water. On a day warmer than that, you could use the giant gatorade cooler, filled with water, but that particular day, it happened to be frozen. As pretty as the ice crystals were, they werent much helpful to the production of tea. So, soming up with another idea, we melted snow. It took about three pitchers full of snow to fill our cups, due to the fluffiness of the fresh powder, but in the end it was well worth it, and an experience I hope not to forget.
