Imagine that you’ve been kidnapped by aliens and taken on an interstellar journey. What is the single most indispensable item you need to carry? How would you communicate with so many alien species? And what exactly is the meaning of life, the universe and everything? The author Douglas Adams (1952-2001) answered these and other questions in his famous sci-fi comedy radio plays, books, and films: “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”; “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe”; “Life, the Universe and Everything”; and “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish”! Towel Day is the international celebration of the author when fans around the world carry a towel in his honour. Towel Day Website
