writing and research

I am a philosopher working on language and the mind. My particular interests are in the effects of linguistic communities on the thinking of their members, and on the psychological foundations of language. I am currently a Braudel Fellow at Institut Jean Nicod, Paris. As of June, I will be a researcher in the department of developmental and comparative psychology at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, working with Mike Tomasello on a project about pointing and language acquisition.
