I am a postdoctoral fellow in Steve Petersen's laboratory at Washington University in St. Louis working in the field of cognitive neuroscience.
I am interested in the physiological mechanisms underlying intrinsic networks, the roles of individual regions within these networks, and how network organization is maintained and dynamically altered in different goal-directed contexts such as attention and cognitive control. I use a variety of methods to address these questions, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) to track the spatial and dynamic characteristics of brain activity, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), recordings from patients with focal brain lesions, and pharmacological manipulations to study perturbations of brain systems.
I earned my BS in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Illinois in 2008 and my PhD in Neuroscience from UC Berkeley in 2013 where I worked with Mark D'Esposito and Michael Silver.
